Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to Sales Heads and regional managers, diagnosing business challenges and delivering HR solutions that directly impact sales results.
  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition for sales roles, focusing on high-volume hiring for field sales executives, area sales managers, and dealer network roles.
  • Enforce sales discipline – adherence to processes, ethical practices, daily dealer visits, and territory management standards.
  • Proactively identify skill gaps in the sales team (e.g., product knowledge, negotiation, dealer management) and address them through targeted training, coaching, and development programs.
  • Drive initiatives to maintain high team morale, motivation, and engagement (recognition programs, field accompaniments, motivation events, issue resolution).
  • Closely follow up with new joiners and employees on Performance Improvement Plans (PIP): ensure regular dealer/market visits, territory coverage, on-ground execution, and actual sales conversion.
  • Monitor people metrics (attrition, productivity, engagement, territory coverage) and provide actionable insights to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and development programs specific to the sales function (e.g., sales training, leadership development, motivation initiatives).
  • Support change management for sales restructuring, new product launches, or digital sales tools adoption.


Qualifications & Skills

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources from a reputed institution.
  • 6-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3-4 years as an HRBP or HR Generalist supporting Sales functions (preferably in paints, FMCG, building materials, manufacturing, or distribution industries).
  • Strong understanding of sales operations, channel management, and incentive structures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, analytical mindset with experience in HR metrics and tools.
  • Willingness to travel to support pan-India sales teams.
