Job Description

Talent Acquisition & Staffing

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant positions (staff & workmen).
  • Ensure timely manpower availability as per production and expansion needs.
  • Coordinate with recruitment partners and internal teams for candidate sourcing.

Employee Relations & Grievance Management

  • Build a harmonious and productive work environment at the plant.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain cordial relations with unions (if applicable) and participate in negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with IR practices and labor laws.

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all labour laws and statutory requirements such as Factories Act, ESIC, PF, Bonus, Gratuity, Contract Labour Act, etc.
  • Oversee statutory documentation, inspections, and audits.
  • Manage contractor compliance and verify contractor workforce records.

Training & Development

  • Conduct training needs analysis for plant staff and workmen.
  • Plan and execute training programs on safety, skill development, and behavioural aspects.
  • Maintain training calendars, attendance, and effectiveness metrics.

Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Design and implement engagement initiatives to build employee morale and retention.
  • Oversee welfare activities, canteen, transport, and other plant-level facilities.
  • Drive communication platforms for employees and ensure high engagement scores.

HR Operations

  • Maintain employee records, attendance, leave, and overtime management.
  • Coordinate with the payroll team for accurate and timely salary processing.
  • Manage plant HR MIS and submit regular HR reports to management.

Health, Safety & Compliance Support

  • Collaborate with EHS team to ensure compliance with safety norms.
  • Conduct safety awareness programs and support accident investigations.

Leadership & People Management

  • Mentor and guide the plant team.
  • Drive a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent.
  • 7 to 12 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in employee relations.
