Job Description

Role Summary

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing core HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and labour laws, and acting as a trusted advisor to both employees and management. This role will also focus on managing and guiding the recruitment staff while driving employee engagement, performance management, and overall HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment Oversight

    • Manage and supervise recruitment staff to ensure timely and effective hiring processes.
    • Monitor recruitment metrics and provide guidance to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  2. Employee Relations

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and grievance resolution.
    • Promote a healthy workplace culture that fosters inclusivity, respect, and collaboration.
    • Provide coaching and advice to managers on handling employee issues.
  3. Performance Management

    • Drive the performance appraisal process and support managers in goal setting and feedback delivery.
    • Support employee development through performance improvement plans where necessary.
    • Partner with leadership to identify and nurture high-potential employees.
  4. Policy Implementation & Compliance

    • Develop, implement, and update HR policies in line with labor laws and best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company standards.
    • Conduct internal HR audits to maintain process accuracy and transparency.
  5. Compensation & Benefits

    • Oversee payroll, leave, and attendance management processes.
    • Support compensation review cycles and ensure competitive employee benefits.
    • Resolve employee queries related to compensation and benefits promptly.
  6. Learning & Development

    • Work with department heads to identify training needs across teams.
    • Coordinate employee training programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
    • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and career development.
  7. HR Operations & Reporting

    • Maintain HRIS and ensure accuracy of employee records and reports.
    • Provide HR analytics and reports to support leadership in decision-making.
    • Lead employee engagement initiatives and cultural development activities.
  8. Strategic HR Support

    • Partner with senior management in workforce planning and organizational development.
    • Support change management initiatives and ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.
    • Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a senior/generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
  • Experience in managing recruitment staff and overseeing HR operations.
