HR Senior Manager (Human Resources)

Position Summary

  3. Reports To: Japanese GM
  4. Location: Jhajjar, Haryana
  5. Age Range: 35-43 years
  6. Salary Range: 22-30 LPA



Job Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing the entire HR function at the regional level.

As a founding member of the company, the HR Senior Manager will play a critical role in building the HR organization from the ground up, leading recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee engagement, and human capital optimization.

The role involves developing and executing short-term and long-term HR strategies to support the organization s HR strategy and to secure, manage, develop, and retain the workforce necessary to achieve current and future business objectives.



Key Responsibilities

. HR Policies and Regulations

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, regulations, and employee handbooks in compliance with local labor laws and company HR strategy
  2. Provide guidance and advice to department heads and business unit leaders on HR policies and regulations

2. HR Strategy Planning, Development, and Management

  1. Develop short-term and long-term HR strategic plans to ensure human capital policies support the attraction, management, development, and retention of employees aligned with business goals
  2. Support the development and execution of talent pipeline and succession planning for high-potential employees
  3. Drive training plans for leadership and capability development

3. Compensation and Benefits

  1. Ensure compliance with local regulations, including monthly payroll processing and income tax filing/payment accuracy
  2. Review and align employee compensation and benefits with overall company objectives and talent management strategy

4. Recruitment and Selection

  1. Review and ensure that recruitment processes follow market best practices, fair employment standards, and applicable laws and regulations

5. Employee Relations and Engagement

  1. Provide advice to supervisors and department heads on employment and disciplinary matters
  2. Provide counseling to employees when necessary
  3. Review and develop initiatives to improve employee engagement in line with HR strategic plans

6. Collaboration with Other Departments

  1. Work closely with all internal departments, MHI India, and MTH

7. Collaboration with External Organizations

  1. Liaise with state governments, external organizations, and police authorities as required

8. Audit, Certification, and Compliance

  1. Handle ISO and other certification audits, renewals, and internal audits
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and employment standards

9. Budget Management

  1. Manage the organization s operating and HR budgets
  2. Ensure efficient and effective utilization of resources

10. HR Team Management

  1. Lead and manage a team of HR professionals to meet business needs
  2. Set performance standards, evaluate performance, and develop HR team members
  3. Ensure HR strategies are executed effectively, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with all laws and regulations



Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  1. Bachelor s Degree required

Experience

  1. 8+ years of experience in a similar HR leadership role


Must-Have Skills and Knowledge

  1. Strong human capital management capability
  2. Manufacturing industry experience
  3. Experience of Japanese company
  4. In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws

  5. Experience with payroll processing and HR systems
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse cultures and organizational levels

Preferred Experience

  1. HR experience in a Japanese manufacturing company

  2. Experience working as a founding or start-up phase member of a company
