Role Description

Head of Marketing

Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy, overseeing content creation, digital marketing efforts, brand positioning, market research, and advertising campaigns. The Head of Marketing will lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and data-driven decision-making. The role also involves monitoring industry trends, understanding customer needs, and adjusting marketing efforts to remain competitive and impactful.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve ambitious marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy that supports business goals, drives brand awareness, and generates leads and revenue.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team of marketing professionals across digital, content, creative, and product marketing functions.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, social media, email, SEO, SEM, content, and traditional advertising.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure campaign effectiveness, brand growth, and customer engagement, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with business goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities.
  • Manage the marketing budget, allocating resources to maximize ROI and ensure cost-effective marketing activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to support marketing efforts.
  • Define brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity to ensure consistency across all touchpoints and marketing materials.
  • Drive innovation and creativity, ensuring marketing efforts are fresh, relevant, and engaging.
  • Lead efforts to enhance the customer experience, using data insights to personalize and refine marketing outreach.
  • Present marketing strategies, progress, and results to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing tools, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in senior marketing roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, tools, and best practices, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and analytics.
  • Extensive experience in brand strategy, market research, campaign development, and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, driving collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to optimize campaigns based on performance insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to drive results.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing strategies align with broader company objectives.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with a passion for marketing and innovation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), CRM software, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
  • A strong understanding of customer acquisition and retention strategies, with a focus on driving long-term brand loyalty.
