Key Responsibilities
Description of duties & activities
Production/Delivery
- Create and implement vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures for the operations team to aid and improve business performance
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
- Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity + Improve and sustain high level of RDSL (OTD)
- Manage manpower and cost to achieve effective operations KPI and returns
- Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
Cost
- Ensure strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
- Advance operational practices to create a competitive advantage in cost, product performance, service fulfilment performance, and working capital
Quality
- Formulate and drive key operation initiatives according to the long-term and short-term strategies, and coach the team to deliver the best of class quality and services for excellence.
- Provide strong technical assistance to the team and problem-solving discussions.
- Develop Customer First and Focus approach in organization and team.
- Proactively work with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Advance Manufacturing Engineering, Application Engineering and other departments to incorporate best practices into the operations environment
Safety
- Provide leadership and advocate the culture of Safety-First and continuous improvement across all the operation sites.
Talent Development
- Motivate, lead and develop a high-performance operations organization and prepare leadership pipeline for future
- Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence
Public/Employee Relations
- Maintain amicable public relations with the local community and government agencies at Satara/Karad/Atit area
- Build strong and harmonious relations with the employee union. Actively participate and drive CSR activities from Operations and Factory side.
Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership to Operations team and implementing strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence, Driving Copeland Strategic Initiatives. Play and manage the role of
Factory Manager.
Manage and handle Labour union.
Education And Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or Suitable and Equivalent degree in Engineering from Reputed College and University.
- A management degree is desirable
Requirements And Attributes
- 16 - 20 years of relevant experience
- Proven and Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills + Strong presentations skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Results and Solution orientated approach with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
- Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets
- MIS reporting and Review meetings with higher level management reviews
