Position: Senior Manager / Chief Engineer - Piling & Deep Foundation Department: Civil Engineering Location: PAN India (Candidate must be willing to relocate to project sites as required) Experience: 10 - 15 Years Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Civil Engineering ________________________________________ About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Civil Engineering Professional to lead and oversee all aspects of our deep foundation and ground engineering projects across India. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with a proven track record in managing large-scale, complex projects involving piling, diaphragm walls, and dewatering systems. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities • Project Management: Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors. • Site Execution & Supervision: Lead the on-site construction team, ensuring all piling and deep foundation activities are carried out as per approved designs, specifications, and quality control procedures. • Methodology & Innovation: Develop and approve construction methodologies, including the selection of appropriate equipment (piling rigs, hydraulic hammers, trench cutters) and techniques for varying soil conditions. • Dewatering Systems: Design, plan, and oversee the implementation of effective well point and deep well dewatering systems to ensure stable and dry working conditions for deep excavations. • Quality Assurance & Control: Implement rigorous QA/QC protocols, including overseeing pile load tests (static and dynamic), integrity tests, and concrete cube tests. Ensure all work complies with relevant Indian and international codes (IS, ASTM). • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Champion a zero-harm culture. Enforce strict adherence to all HSE policies, conduct regular site safety audits, and ensure all activities are risk-assessed and mitigated. • Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities. Prepare and present detailed progress reports. • Team Management & Mentoring: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior engineers and supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence. • Cost Control: Monitor project costs, review bills of quantities (BOQ), and assist the commercial team in evaluating variations and claims. Required Qualifications & Experience • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) is mandatory. A Master’s degree (M.Tech) in Geotechnical Engineering or Construction Management is highly preferred. • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with a demonstrable focus on deep foundation projects. • Must-have hands-on experience: o Bored Cast-in-Situ Piles (Large Diameter) o Driven Piles (Concrete & Steel) o Secant / Contiguous Piles o Diaphragm Walls (D-Walls) o Well Point Dewatering and Deep Well Dewatering systems • Proven experience working on major infrastructure projects such as high-rise buildings, metros, bridges, industrial plants, or power projects. • In-depth knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical investigations, and interpreting soil reports. • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Plaxis, or similar geotechnical software).

The Role: Senior Planning & Commercial Manager You will be the central figure responsible for the strategic planning, budgeting, and financial monitoring of our ground engineering projects. Your expertise will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of profitability and reporting accuracy. Key Responsibilities: • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop, manage, and maintain detailed, resource-loaded project programmes using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project for major piling, diaphragm wall, and dewatering packages. • Budgeting & Cost Management: Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans. Implement robust cost control procedures to identify variances and mitigate financial risks. • Resource Planning: Strategically plan and allocate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor resources in alignment with the project schedule and budget. • Cash Flow Management: Prepare detailed project cash flow forecasts (weekly, monthly, yearly) and manage the project's financial health to ensure positive cash flow. • Project Monitoring & Reporting: Establish and lead the project controls cycle. Provide accurate and timely reporting on progress, productivity, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), schedule performance, and cost status to senior management and clients. • Risk Analysis: Identify potential schedule and cost risks within the ground engineering sequence and develop mitigation strategies. • Change Management: Evaluate the impact of variations and change orders on the project programme and budget, preparing necessary claims for time and money. • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of planners and project controllers. Essential Qualifications & Experience: • A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a planning, project controls, or commercial management role, specifically within civil engineering groundworks, piling, or heavy civil construction. • Demonstrable expertise in: o Advanced Scheduling: MS Project o Budgeting & Cost Control: Proven experience developing budgets and managing project costs. o Resource & Cash Flow Planning: Direct experience in resource loading schedules and forecasting cash flows. o Reporting: Expert ability in generating comprehensive project performance reports. • In-depth understanding of ground engineering construction methodologies (piling, diaphragm walls, dewatering) is crucial to accurately plan and sequence activities. • Strong financial acumen and experience with cost management software. • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
