Job Description

As a Sales Head at an early-stage, venture-backed education technology company in the Edtech industry, you will play a crucial role in leading and scaling a young sales team into a nationwide growth engine. Your responsibilities will include designing sales strategy, owning revenue goals, and collaborating directly with the founders on market expansion. By building a high-performing sales team, recruiting, training, and mentoring tele-sales and on-ground executives, and creating a performance-driven culture, you will turn the current sales setup into a powerhouse that drives the company's next phase of growth. Key Responsibilities: - Build and lead a high-performing sales team, scaling headcount from the current three members. - Recruit, train, and mentor tele-sales and on-ground executives across key regions. - Create a performance-driven culture based on accountability, energy, and execution. - Design and execute sales strategies to achieve aggressive revenue and customer acquisition targets. - Manage tele-sales and on-ground channels, setting daily call targets and securing regional partnerships. - Optimize funnels, lead conversion, and pipeline tracking using data insights. - Collaborate with founders to align sales objectives with overall business goals. - Identify new market opportunities, institutional partnerships, and on-ground expansion strategies. - Develop scalable sales processes and incentive programs to sustain high performance. - Build a deep understanding of customer pain points, motivations, and decision triggers. - Partner with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and improve lead quality. - Ensure every customer interaction reflects the company's mission and brand trust. Qualification Required: - 4-8 years of experience in sales leadership roles within tech, edtech, or high-growth startups. - Proven expertise in tele-sales and on-ground sales operations. - Ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity typical of startups. - Ability to build, manage, and motivate geographically distributed sales teams. - Data-driven decision-making with strong problem-solving and planning skills. - Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities coupled with empathy and hustle.
