About the Role We are hiring for a Research Associate Sensory & Claims Substantiation role with a leading pharmaceutical company based in Bangalore. The role will be responsible for managing the consumer testing program and substantiating/defending impactful, consumer-relevant product claims. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Legal, and Marketing. Key Responsibilities Understand cosmetic product benefits, attributes, and category drivers to create compelling and competitive claims across all personal care verticals. Apply various instrumental evaluation methodologies (e.g., CK for skin, Diastron for hair) for claims substantiation. Review and interpret technical documents (clinical and in-vitro reports) to support product claims. Conduct gap analysis to identify unmet consumer needs and emerging product trends. Coordinate consumer studies both qualitative and quantitative—ensuring adherence to best practices, and generate actionable insights. Utilize advanced statistical tools and techniques (ANOVA, T-Test) with hands-on experience in SPSS, MiniTab, or GraphPad Prism . Analyze market, consumer, and sensory data to uncover opportunities for superior products and claims. Review communication materials (artwork, TVC, print ads) for technical accuracy. Defend product and advertisement claims raised by ASCI or international regulatory bodies. Develop and maintain claims support strategies and dossiers to meet ASCI and regulatory requirements. Transform product attributes into visual demonstrations and claims that highlight technological advantages over competitors. Candidate Profile 4–7 years of relevant experience in sensory evaluation, consumer testing, and claims substantiation. Strong analytical, statistical, and communication skills. Exposure to personal care or cosmetic product categories is preferred.
