Job Description

Head of Logistics – Meena Bazaar Women’s Ethnic Wear

Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, distribution, and last-mile delivery to 82+ showrooms and multiple online channels, ensuring seamless and timely stock movement and replenishment across all locations. Drive route planning and optimization for efficient inventory flow, leveraging data analytics and supply chain management tools to minimize transit time and logistics costs. Closely collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, and Store Operations teams to assure correct and timely stock allocation based on seasonal demand and store requirements. Monitor and evaluate performance of logistics partners (couriers, transporters, and warehousing vendors), enforce service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure vendor compliance and strong relationship management. Implement robust cost-control measures across all logistics functions in line with company objectives. Safeguard operational compliance with all safety, statutory, and company-specific policies, especially those relevant to apparel handling and high-value stock. Prepare and present comprehensive MIS reports tracking stock movement, order cycle times, delivery delays, shrinkage, damages, and logistics expenditure to senior management. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics and support team; foster team culture built on innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity. Oversee both logistics and administrative operations to ensure smooth running of all support functions at warehouse and showroom levels.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • 10–15 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, preferably within retail, fashion, ethnic wear, or FMCG sectors, with exposure to multi-channel (offline & online) distribution and store networks.
  • Proven track record of strategic and hands-on leadership, preferably handling large-scale, multi-location supply chain operations for branded apparel or lifestyle retailers.
  • Expertise in vendor negotiation and contract management, inventory planning, and cost optimization.
  • MBA from a recognized institute is mandatory; additional certifications in supply chain management/logistics/ERP will be advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP, and logistics automation platforms; exposure to RFID/barcoding and real-time tracking preferred.
  • Familiarity with Indian ethnic wear industry, seasonal peaks (festivals/weddings), and inventory characteristics of garments, accessories, and high-SKU portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with flexibility to support rapid expansion and volume spikes.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of building reports and actionable dashboards.
  • Excellent communication, team-building, and stakeholder management skills in a diverse retail setting.

Desirable Attributes (Specific to Meena Bazaar)

  • Passion for women’s fashion and understanding of trends in Indian ethnic wear retail, product lifecycle, and customer expectations.
  • Proven ability in handling operations for both company-owned and franchise locations, and supporting omnichannel fulfillment.
  • Track record of implementing sustainability or “green logistics” initiatives (eco-friendly packaging, route optimization for reducing emissions).
  • Proficiency in crisis and contingency planning for supply chain disruptions (e.g., during festive rush or external uncertainties).
  • Integrity, reliability, and a customer-first mindset, upholding Meena Bazaar’s legacy as India’s trusted brand for women’s ethnic fashion.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
