Head, Human Resources for a fast growing Cell & Gene Therapy Company

Role Summary

Head of HR will be a key strategic partner, collaborating with all business leaders to design, plan, and execute best-in-class HR frameworks, policies and systems. This role is crucial in cultivating an employee-oriented, high-performance, and high-quality culture across the organization. He/She will drive Organizational Design, enable effective Go-to-Market (GTM) Models and establish Agile Ways of Working to build the mindset and operational framework that enhances cross-functional collaboration, adaptability, and seamless decision-making across the Company.

Strategic Planning & Policy:

  • Define and develop the comprehensive

    people strategy

    for the business, integrating it with commercial and operational goals.
  • Lead

    Organizational Design

    initiatives to ensure the structure is optimized for efficiency, growth, and effective execution of business strategy.
  • Enable and support

    Go-to-Market (GTM) Models

    by aligning talent, structures, and capabilities with commercial goals.
  • Establish and embed

    Agile Ways of Working

    across relevant functions to enhance speed, collaboration, and responsiveness.
  • Formulate, recommend, and institutionalize HR systems, policies, objectives, and procedures in alignment with organizational guidelines and business goals.

Culture & Performance Management:

  • Guide, oversee, and drive initiatives to establish and maintain an

    employee-oriented, high-performance, high-quality culture

    .
  • Drive

    Engagement

    initiatives and oversee the design and annual governance of the

    Performance Management System (PMS)

    .
  • Build capability and competency through guiding and overseeing training effectiveness to create a performance-oriented,

    learning organization

    .
  • Build outcome based working culture and establish performance health cards for real-time coaching.

Talent & Development:

  • Drive

    Talent assessment & development

    initiatives, including

    Talent Acquisition, Management, and Careers

    .
  • Spearhead

    Leadership Development

    and support specialized training needs - both functional and behavioral.

Systems:

  • Accountable for the performance of the

    Human Resources

    including the development and maintenance of

    HR Systems

    .
  • Manage updates and reporting for the

    Board/Investors

    regarding key HR metrics and strategy.

Compensation & Budget:

  • Develop and administer the

    Compensation & Benefits

    programs.
  • Create and manage the manpower cost

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Plan and oversee employee relations to foster a participative culture, build trust, openness, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable statutes and internal policies, providing

    strategic counsel and legal advice

    on people matters.

Ideal Candidate profile (Qualifications and Experience)

  • 15+ years

    of progressive leadership experience across all aspects of human resources management and staff development.
  • Proven experience in

    Organizational Design

    , enabling GTM strategies, and implementing modern

    Ways of Working

    (e.g., Agile).
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic HR management, including planning, policy, talent management, selection,

    Compensation & Benefits

    , training and staff development,

    Employee Relations

    , and

    Performance Management

    .
  • Strong background in

    operations experience, systems, and payroll

    .
  • Experience in

    Organizational Development

    and engagement initiatives.
  • Experienced in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Experience working in pharma, biotech or healthcare is preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Analytical, critical thinking, and strategic problem-solving skills, with the drive to translate high-level business requirements into specific initiatives.
  • Current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, and applicable laws regarding human resources.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
