Job Description


Purpose of This Role: -

Major Responsibilities: -

Ø Strategic Leadership:

l Lead the financial management and strategy of the organization to support business objectives and growth.

l Collaborate with senior management and department heads to align financial planning with business goals.

l Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to the Management, and executive team.

Ø Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

l Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.

l Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting processes, ensuring accurate financial projections.

l Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Ø Financial Reporting & Compliance:

l Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting in accordance with regulatory standards, accounting principles and internal policies.

l Monitor financial reporting and disclosures to ensure compliance with local, and state, financial regulations.

l Work with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure all financial statements are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

Ø Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

l Oversee cash management, working capital, and liquidity planning to ensure the organization maintains optimal cash flow.

l Develop and implement strategies to manage financial risk, including interest rates, foreign currency fluctuations, and credit exposure.

l Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions to secure necessary funding and maintain financial flexibility.


Ø Risk Management:

l Identify and mitigate financial risks related to market, credit, operational, and liquidity aspects.

l Ensure appropriate insurance coverage, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance with risk management protocols.

l Advise leadership on potential financial risks and opportunities arising from market changes or business conditions.

Ø Team Leadership & Development:

l Lead, manage, and develop the finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.

l Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.

l Promote cross-functional collaboration between finance and other departments (e.g., marketing, operations, sales).

Ø Cost Management & Efficiency:

l Oversee cost control, financial analysis, and process improvements to drive cost efficiency and reduce operational expenses.

l Identify areas for process optimization and automation within the finance department.

Ø Financial Systems & Technology:

l Ensure the financial systems and processes are robust, efficient, and scalable to meet the needs of the business.

l Evaluate and implement new financial software, technologies, or tools to enhance financial operations.

Key Requirements:

Education & Experience

o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

o Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACA, or similar) preferred.

o Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Finance Director, CFO).

o Strong experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as managing a finance team.

o Expertise in financial systems, accounting software, and business intelligence tools.

o Experience in managing financial risks, treasury functions, and strategic financial planning.

Skills:

o Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

o Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

o Proficiency in financial modeling, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.

o In-depth understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance.

o Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

· ICWA, ICWA / CA Inter, MBA Finance
