Head of Engineering

Role Summary:

As Head of Engineering, you will be the driving force behind the technology roadmap, team scalability, and engineering excellence.  You’ll lead protocol design, smart contract development, backend scalability, DevSecOps, and architecting high-performance, secure infrastructure, and manage the complete technical solution.  You will drive hiring and build a high-performing team of developers and partners, and collaborate cross-functionally with product, business development, and compliance. This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role that requires deep technical acumen, team-building experience, and a product-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Smart-Contract Design & Implementation

• Architect and implement yeild token vaults (ERC-20 / ERC-4626 / ERC-7540) that track real-time PnL, NAV, and yield.
• Build the Price Oracle layer that aggregates on-chain data feeds (Chainlink / Pyth / Chronicle) with off-chain NAV updates.
• Write clean, test-driven Solidity code that can be extended across new chains and strategies.
• Review and discuss architecture with the team — iterate fast, ship safe.

2. NAV / Price Oracle System

• Design the dual-layer model:
• On-chain: real-time spot price via Chainlink data feed.
• Off-chain: weekly NAV aggregation (PnL, positions, yield) → signed update → on-chain apply with variation-tolerance checks.
• Ensure oracle integrity (staleness, deviation, bad-data guards) and composability with DeFi lending protocols.
• Build for multi-chain deployment (Ethereum / Arbitrum / Base / Soneium).

3. Yield & Accounting Logic

• Implement vault accounting for compounding, performance fees, management fees, and rebase/non-rebase yield.
• Integrate proof-of-reserve (PoR) attestations and off-chain verification flows.
• Build guardrails: variation tolerance, heartbeat, deviation thresholds, and safety stops.

4. FoF (Fund-of-Funds) Integration

• Implement the stablecoin vault allocating across yeild tokens (RWAs, hedge funds, MEV, private credit).
• Support dynamic allocation by tenor (T+0 / T+1 / T+2) with global APR and buffer parameters.
• Coordinate with off-chain rebalancer bots and analytics feeds.

5. Price Update Frequency

• Maintain the hybrid cadence:

• Instant layer:

  on-chain price at transaction time.

• Standard layer:

  off-chain NAV pushed 1–2× per week (more frequent when card/payment rails go live).
• Integrate off-chain validation and signed oracle updates.

6. Product Collaboration

• Work side-by-side with founders, quant, and legal teams to define product behavior.
• Participate in discussions that shape protocol design, not just implement specs.
• Take ownership of modules end-to-end — from ideation → prototype → audit → mainnet.

Must Have Requirements

• 3+ years of Solidity experience, with production-level DeFi protocol work.
• Deep understanding of ERC-4626 vaults, NAV/PnL/yield mechanics, and on-chain accounting.
• Experience building or auditing protocols integrating Chainlink, Pyth, oracles, or custom price feeds.
• Strong product mindset: you think about UX, operations, and compliance implications of code.
• Prior experience leading or co-founding a DeFi product / protocol preferred.
• Comfortable working and communicating in English in a globally distributed team.
• Collaborative: you like to discuss, question, and improve designs together.
