Role Overview

As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end technology function at Bullet.

You’ll manage product engineering, infrastructure, mobile development, DevOps, and security.

You’ll work closely with the founding team to build scalable, secure, and delightful user experiences—fast.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering team across mobile, backend, infra, and video delivery systems
Architect Bullet’s tech stack for scale, performance, and rapid iteration
Build and grow a high-performing engineering org with a strong, ownership-driven culture
Set up best practices for development, deployment, monitoring, and quality
Partner with Product, Design, and Growth to ship weekly, iterate quickly, and improve retention
Drive roadmap planning, sprint cycles, incident management, and technical hiring
Oversee future-ready capabilities like token wallet integration (Web3) and AI-driven personalization
Manage vendor tools, infrastructure costs, and internal tooling decisions

Requirements

8–15 years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven track record of building and scaling B2C consumer apps, ideally in content, video, or gaming
Strong technical foundation across:
Mobile development (Flutter, React Native, native Android/iOS)
Backend architecture (Node.js, Go, Python)
Cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Firebase, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
Databases, caching, crash analytics, and observability tools
Ability to ship fast without compromising long-term stability
Comfortable with hands-on problem solving when needed
Experience working in fast-paced, early-stage startup environments

Bonus Points

Experience with content delivery networks (CDNs) or video optimization
Exposure to wallets, smart contracts, or token-based systems (Web3)
Knowledge of AI/ML systems for content scoring or personalization
Prior experience building systems for monetization (coins, gating, subscriptions)
