Job Description

Role Overview:

Business Head – Online

Key Responsibilities:

E-Commerce Strategy & Growth

  • Own and drive the overall P&L for online channels (D2C website, marketplaces, quick commerce, and other online retail platforms).
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase online sales, customer acquisition, retention, and conversion rates.
  • Optimise pricing, product assortment, and promotional strategies to enhance revenue.

Digital Marketing & Branding

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute performance marketing campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, influencer marketing, etc.).
  • Build a strong brand presence across all digital touchpoints.
  • Monitor analytics and customer behaviour to refine strategies.

Platform & Technology Management

  • Oversee the functionality and performance of the D2C website (UI/UX, SEO, speed, security, etc.).
  • Coordinate with tech teams to ensure smooth backend operations (order processing, payments, logistics integrations).

Marketplace Management

  • Manage partnerships and negotiations with marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Instamart, Zepto, etc.
  • Oversee listing quality, campaign execution, ratings, reviews, and inventory planning.

Operations & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work closely with the supply chain and logistics team to ensure timely order fulfilment.
  • Manage inventory, warehousing, and packaging standards for online deliveries.

Team Leadership

  • Build and manage a high-performing e-commerce team.
  • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and provide leadership, mentorship, and training.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading e-commerce/digital business in an FMCG, F&B, or D2C brand.
  • Strong understanding of online retail dynamics, digital marketing, analytics, and customer journeys.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with marketplace partners.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on ROI and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent in Marketing, Business Management, or Digital Commerce.
  • Experience in scaling a D2C business or launching new digital brands.
  • Passion for food, chocolate, and confectionery is a plus.
