About the Role: Head – Distribution

Head of Distribution

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead the end-to-end sourcing, buying, and distribution strategy across multiple product categories
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-potential Indian brands and manufacturers for international distribution
• Negotiate large purchase orders based on demand forecasts and global channel opportunities
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, pricing, delivery, and reliability
• Lead category-level P&L with full ownership of margin, pricing, and profitability decisions
• Collaborate with sales, logistics, demand planning, and finance to align procurement with market needs
• Design and implement scalable go-to-market strategies for global online and offline channels
• Monitor category performance, optimize assortment, and drive pricing/sourcing improvements
• Ensure full compliance with global product standards, certifications, and documentation requirements

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in sourcing, buying, distribution, or category management
• Proven track record in managing product P&L, preferably in e-commerce or export retail
• Deep understanding of Indian manufacturing ecosystems across key product categories
• Strong commercial acumen and expertise in large-scale procurement and negotiations
• Experience working with global retailers, marketplaces, or B2B distribution networks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)
