Key Responsibilities

Strategic Data Leadership

• Establish a comprehensive data strategy aligned with GTM goals, personalization needs, product evolution, and financial outcomes
• Embed data-driven thinking across the organization to accelerate precise, insight-backed decision-making
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, experimentation, and measurement that turns data into a competitive advantage
  

Credit, Risk & Fraud Intelligence

• Build next-generation MSME credit underwriting models using payments data, bureau insights, GST, alternative data, and ecosystem signals
• Develop and maintain an advanced fraud and risk engine with near-real-time detection and intelligent intervention capabilities
• Leverage unstructured data (voice, video, image, documents) to enhance accuracy, trust, and risk control
  

AI, ML & Advanced Analytics

• Champion the adoption of AI/ML across operations, product, customer experience, and risk functions
• Deliver predictive and prescriptive models that drive operational efficiency and minimize losses
• Implement experimentation frameworks such as A/B testing, causal inference, uplift modeling, and synthetic controls
• Introduce multi-modal data and alternative signals to support hyper-personalization and deeper customer insights
  

Data Infrastructure & Governance

• Architect both streaming and batch data platforms using technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark, and Delta Lake
• Build strong data governance, compliance, privacy, and security frameworks suited for regulated fintech environments
• Ensure high availability, quality, and reliability of enterprise data assets
  

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

• Build and scale a world-class team across data science, ML engineering, risk analytics, and data platform engineering
• Coach and elevate talent while driving a culture of clarity, accountability, and impactful storytelling with data
• Partner with executive leadership to align data initiatives with business priorities and decision-making processes
  

What Makes You a Great Fit

• You bring 8-12+ years of experience in senior data leadership roles, ideally in fintech, lending, payments, or fraud/risk-focused environments
• You have hands-on mastery in credit underwriting, fraud vectors, payments intelligence, and applied ML at scale
• You are proficient in Python, SQL, and modern data architectures including real-time streaming technologies
• You excel at translating complex analytics into clear business impact—improving revenue, portfolio health, and operational efficiency
• You are a strong communicator who can influence cross-functional teams and drive executive-level alignment
• You bring a deep understanding of data governance, compliance, and privacy in regulated contexts
• You thrive in environments where innovation, experimentation, and measurable outcomes define success
