Elchemy is a tech-enabled cross-border specialty chemicals marketplace. Our vision is to become the largest global speciality chemicals distributor focusing on discovery and fulfillment using a tech-first approach. 

In the past 20 months of the company's operation, we have scaled up our operations serving in more than 32 countries and have active partnerships with more than 100s of customers and suppliers. The company has raised a total of upwards of $7.5mn from marquee investors like InfoEdge Ventures and Prime Venture Partners.

Our highly ambitious team comprises alumni from IITs, IIMs, NITs and have extensive experience of working in startups as well as multinational companies. Roles and Responsibilities:

Market Expansion & Revenue Growth

  • Lead the expansion of

    CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers) chemicals

    in the U.S. and Europe market by identifying high-potential regions and acquiring untapped customers.
  • Drive top-line growth and

    own complete P&L management

    for the vertical, ensuring increased

    market share, profitability

    , and long-term sustainability.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to shape data-driven growth strategies.

  • Sales Leadership & Team Development

    • Build and lead a

      high-performing sales team

      , setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
    • Mentor and develop talent to create future leaders and ensure team alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Drive adoption of

      best-in-class sales practices

      , tools, and methodologies to maximize performance.

  • Customer & Key Account Management

    • Own and manage strategic customer relationships through a structured

      Key Account Management

      approach.
    • Deepen customer engagement, improve retention, and

      grow share of wallet

      by positioning Elchemy as a trusted long-term partner.
    • Ensure a

      customer-first approach

      , balancing short-term targets with long-term value creation.

  • Strategic Sales Planning & Execution

    • Design and execute comprehensive

      sales strategies

      aligned with Elchemy’s growth vision and revenue goals for your vertical. 
    • Identify and prioritize high-impact sales opportunities; drive cross-functional execution across sourcing, operations, and finance.
    • Take ownership of

      lead generation, opportunity conversion

      , and revenue acceleration across new and existing customer segments.



    Sourcing, Pipeline Development & Conversion

    • Manage  sourcing and procurement specialists to ensure

      supply chain alignment

      with market demand and sales goals.
    • Drive

      pipeline development

      through targeted outreach, inbound strategies, and strategic partnerships.
    • Lead sales closure efforts, ensuring a high

      conversion rate

      while maintaining healthy margins.

  • Digital Enablement & Innovation

    • Champion the use of

      CRM, analytics, and sales automation tools

      to enhance team productivity and customer engagement.
    • Leverage data-driven insights for decision-making, territory planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.
    • Continuously explore and implement innovations to improve the sales process and customer journey.


    Skills and Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of experience in B2B technical sales, preferably in global markets.
    • Proven track record of P&L ownership and delivering revenue and margin growth.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performance sales teams.
    • Expertise in managing distributor networks, channel partners, and enterprise accounts.
    • Ability to align team execution with overall business strategy and financial goals.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
    • Strong techno-commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset.
    • High emotional intelligence, ownership mindset, and commitment to results.
    • Proficient in using CRM, analytics, and sales automation tools.
