About Us Elchemy is a tech-enabled cross-border specialty chemicals marketplace. Our vision is to become the largest global speciality chemicals distributor focussing on discovery and fulfillment using a tech-first approach. Chemicals is an extremely important large and fragmented market with multiple inefficiencies in cross border trade. The global speciality chemicals market is $800bn growing at a CAGR of 5.7%. The industry faces glaring challenges including lack of trust, excessive lead times, quality uncertainty, lack of transparency and tons of operational challenges. In the past 20 months of the company's operation, we have scaled up our operations serving in more than 32 countries and have active partnerships with more than 100s of customers and suppliers. The company has raised a total of upwards of $7.5mn from marquee investors like InfoEdge Ventures, Prime Venture Partners and from promoters of companies like Vinati Organics, Laxmi Organics, and Coromandel International. Our highly ambitious team comprises alumni from IITs, IIMs, NITs and have extensive experience of working in startups as well as multinational companies. We want to create a team with A-players and rockstars in all roles. When such a team comes together, no vision seems unachievable, and everyone pushes to deliver outstanding results. Location - Mumbai Roles and Responsibilities 1. Market Expansion Define and lead the go-to-market strategy for Personal Care and Flavors & Fragrance chemicals in the US. Identify high-potential segments, prioritize opportunities, and drive long-term market share growth. 2. Business Development & Customer Strategy Develop strategic relationships with key customers to build recurring revenue and long-term value. Expand key accounts through consultative selling and tailored growth plans. 3. Sales Strategy & Execution Craft and implement data-driven sales strategies aligned with Elchemy’s global objectives. Set clear revenue targets, manage performance, and drive execution across regions. 4. Leadership & Organizational Development Build and scale a high-impact sales team. Instill strategic thinking, accountability, and cross-functional alignment across the commercial organization. 5. Digital & Commercial Innovation Lead the integration of digital tools to modernize sales operations. Use analytics and automation to drive efficiency, enhance customer insights, and support strategic decision-making. 6. Executive Reporting & Insights Provide strategic updates to the Founders and leadership team on performance, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence. Use insights to shape future growth initiatives. This role is critical to Elchemy’s growth in the US, with a strong focus on leadership, innovation, and execution in high-potential markets. We're looking for a strategic sales leader to drive Elchemy’s international growth, with a focus on the US market. This role is ideal for someone who has built teams, scaled revenue, and led international sales strategies—especially in a startup environment. Skills and Qualifications: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation capabilities. 7+ years in international sales, preferably in the US. Proven success in early-stage startups or scaling businesses. Strong sales strategy, BD, and team leadership experience. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Chemical industry experience is a plus. Entrepreneurial, highly driven, and outcome-oriented. Strong ownership, emotional intelligence, and commercial acumen. Show more Show less
