This role at NIQ represents a crucial position within our Finance Operations FP&A Team. This role is dedicated to supporting our regional business finance team, focusing on enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and customer centricity across all activities within our center of excellence. As a key member of our Global Finance Operations team, you will ensure that services provided adhere to the highest standards and comply with clearly defined service level agreements (SLAs) with various internal stakeholders. Your exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills will drive informed decision-making, significantly contributing to the transformation and optimization of finance operations at NIQ. This important role will be part of the Global Finance Operations – within our Finance Planning & Analysis Service Delivery Team.Key Responsibilities:
- Govern the Regional Headcount Blueprint: Maintain and govern the regional headcount blueprint, ensuring alignment with strategic workforce planning, financial targets, and organizational design.
- Headcount Planning & Forecasting: Drive accurate and timely headcount planning, forecasting, and reporting in partnership with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
- Expense Management: Own the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of personnel expenses, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial goals. Maintain and drive a regular cadence with the business finance team to ensure alignment on expense forecasting.
- Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to the regional business finance team, providing recommendations on workforce and cost optimization. Partner with HR to ensure data accuracy in Workday.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track headcount trends, cost per head, attrition, and other key workforce metrics.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of headcount and expense planning.
- Scenario Modeling: Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decisions related to workforce and cost structures.
- Collaboration with COE Teams: Work closely with other COE pillars (e.g., Revenue, Capex, Projects) to ensure integrated planning and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a similar industry or commercial finance role.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and the impact of financial decisions on business outcomes.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial modelling and experience with financial software and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PBI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.) and ERP systems.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details. Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from stakeholders.
- Leadership and Initiative: Proven ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team.
