This role is challenging and rewarding in equal parts. But if you’re up for it, we promise it will transform you.You will report directly to the founders, while also working with other CXOs for select initiatives.
Responsibilities
In this key cross-functional role, you will be Varaha’s ‘Swiss Knife’ – you will collaborate directly with the top management, Co-Founders functional leads on developing executing Varaha’s strategy., marketing and growth while your responsibilities will keep evolving, specific tasks include:
- -Partner with the CEO/COO and other senior leadership to drive company-wide strategic programs, and operational transformation initiatives.
- -Lead or support growth strategy, go-to-market planning, and new business launches.
- -Set up and scale Program Management Offices (PMOs) for complex cross-functional projects.
- -Build detailed business cases, conduct industry research.
- -Own OKR alignment, review mechanisms, and regular CXO-level updates.
- -Provide thought leadership on organizational design, cost optimization, and digital transformation.
- -Liaise with functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Ops, HR, Finance) to ensure timely and quality execution of strategic goals.
- -Support portfolio diversification, and transformation roadmaps.
- -Assist with internal communication, talent strategy, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- -Crafting delivering pitches to sell carbon credits to domestic and global clients.
- -Creating external-facing concept notes, slide decks, financial models, and other collaterals that align with and amplify the company’s vision.
- -Developing internal organizational processes to streamline the company’s operations.
- -Monitoring global industry trends and regulatory changes (e.g., international negotiations, domestic carbon policy) to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- -Raising VC investment, incl. leading due diligence processes with investors and auditors; managing relations with existing investors incl. preparing for Board Meetings and quarterly update calls.
- -Structuring Varaha’s quarterly annual operational plans to achieve the company’s objectives and align departments.
- -Structuring compelling applications to win grants, prizes and respond to RfP’s.
- -Representing Varaha at domestic and international events conferences; Organizing events to elevate Varaha’s market positioning (e.g., field visits, receptions, panel discussions, etc.).
- -Leading writing thought leadership (e.g., blog posts, news articles, podcasts, etc).
- -Sourcing, interviewing securing key hires, in collaboration with HR team.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in roles spanning: Strategy/ops in agri-tech, climate-tech, rural development, or consulting (startup exp preferred)
- exp with PMO or Chief of Staff roles in high-growth companies or social enterprises.
- Strong financial acumen: able to model, analyze and optimize project economics
- Experience working with distributed networks (e.g., field teams, rural partners)
- Comfort with compliance, reporting, and handling large disbursement flows
- Analytical mindset with strong Excel, financial modeling, and dashboarding skills (Power BI/Tableau a plus)
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for climate action, impact at scale, and solving real-world problems
