Location: Remote (India) Duration: 6-month About Varaha Varaha is the world’s first developing-economy-focused, full-stack climate-tech company on a mission to decarbonize the atmosphere while ensuring the longevity of investments in natural, emission-capturing projects. We partner with companies to help them meet net-zero targets by creating, quantifying, verifying, and selling high-quality carbon credits—leveraging advanced remote-sensing analytics and carbon modeling to deliver real impact and shared prosperity for smallholder land stewards. About the Internship Program Our intense 6-month internship is designed to build the next generation of leaders in climate technology and carbon markets. You’ll collaborate daily with engineers, carbon-market experts, scientists, ex-founders, and sustainability leaders—getting real ownership on high-impact projects. Many past interns have transitioned to full-time roles at Varaha upon successful completion. What You’ll Do Conduct user research and synthesize insights to inform design decisions Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma Design intuitive mobile and web interfaces with strong information architecture Iterate on visual designs—typography, color, layout—based on user feedback and testing Assist in building and maintaining design systems and component libraries Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers through ideation to handoff Should be familiar with Web and Mobile Design Principles What We’re Looking For Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Design, HCI, or related field Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and information architecture Proficiency in Figma ; familiarity with Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools Hands-on experience designing for mobile and web interfaces Experience with user-research methods, wireframing, and interactive prototyping Knowledge of the end-to-end product-design lifecycle—from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, and handoff Strong visual-design sensibility: typography, color theory, and layout (Ideally) Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge and exposure to design systems Availability to commit at least 6 months What We Offer Structured mentorship from our design and product leaders A culture of creativity, collaboration, and impact at a fast-growing climate-tech startup Opportunity to own real features that drive decarbonization outcomes Monthly stipend and ESOP eligibility (subject to program guidelines) Strong pipeline to full-time opportunities post-internship Show more Show less
