Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Controller who can take ownership of our finance function end-to-end. This role is critical in ensuring financial discipline, compliance, and strategic support as we scale. You'll be both hands-on and strategic, balancing daily operations with long-term planning.

Responsibilities

Financial Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and cash flow management tailored to a startup environment.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets, financial models, and forecasts to support growth and fundraising.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to RBI, SEBI, and other regulatory requirements relevant to neobanking.
Investor and Board Reporting: Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for leadership and investors, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Process and Controls: Establish scalable financial processes, internal controls, and policies suitable for a growing company.
Taxation and Audit: Manage statutory audits, tax filings, and coordinate with external auditors and consultants.
Strategic Finance: Partner with leadership on fundraising, capital allocation, and financial strategy.
Vendor and Partner Management: Handle payments, contracts, and financial negotiations with vendors, partners, and service providers.

Requirements

Qualifications Education: Chartered Accountant (CA).
Experience: 6-8 years of experience in finance roles, preferably in fintech, startups, fund management, or investment banking.
Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
Experience with financial modelling, MIS, and investor reporting.
Exposure to fund management or investment banking practices, with the ability to translate insights into startup finance strategy.
Ability to set up processes in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
Proficiency in tools like Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
