Job Description

Position Overview:

The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity. This role includes financial planning, analysis, reporting, internal controls, and leading the finance team to support strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
  • Monitor cash flows, working capital, and liquidity management.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management for decision-making.

2. Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including taxation, GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, etc.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts in alignment with business goals.
  • Track and report budget variances, recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct cost analysis and drive cost optimization initiatives.

4. Strategic Support

  • Support management in evaluating new investments, business expansions, and financial risks.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis for strategic projects.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve profitability and efficiency.

5. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and compliance.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • CA / CMA / CPA / MBA (Finance) with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably as a Controller or Senior Manager – Finance.
  • Proven experience in FMCG, Start-ups and fast-phase environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and corporate laws.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
