JD for Account Finance & Accounts Executive / Manager (based on experience)

Core Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping

 Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting records.

 Manage ledgers (payables, receivables, petty cash, etc.).

 Ensure all transactions are recorded in. Reconcile bank accounts and vendor/client

balances.

Payments & Cash Flow

 Track payment schedules to vendors, freelancers, and suppliers.

 Monitor inflows from customers or clients.

 Maintain a cash flow tracker to predict upcoming shortages/surpluses.

 Optimize payment cycles to balance liquidity and trust with vendors.

Credit Management

 Set credit terms for clients/vendors.

 Follow up on overdue invoices.

 Analyze risks associated with offering credit and implement approval systems.

4. Profit & Loss (P&L) Analysis

 Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual P&L reports.

 Track gross profit, net margins, and overheads.

 Identify cost leakages or margin improvements across projects.

5. Costing & Margins

 Calculate accurate project or product costing (especially if you’re into decor/custom

production).

 Analyze pricing strategy vs actual margin performance.

 Work with operations and procurement for better vendor negotiation, logistics,

based on financial data.

inancial Analysis &Decision Support

 Support budgeting & forecasting exercises.

 Analyze spend patterns across categories (logistics, materials, salaries, etc.).

 Create dashboards (Excel/Power BI) to give the leadership quick insights (future

scope).

Compliance &Taxation

 Ensure GST filings, TDS, and other statutory compliances.

 Prepare for internal/external accounting & other income related audits.

 Maintain proper documentation for vendors and clients for regulatory compliance.

Tools They Should Ideally Be Comfortable With

 Accounting Software: if any

 Analysis Tools: Excel (advanced level), Power BI (bonus)

 Documentation: Google Sheets/Docs, Invoicing tools

 Payment Gateways/Bank Portals: For reconciliation

Profile You Can Hire

 Title Suggestion: Finance & Accounts Executive / Manager (based on experience)

 Background: BCom / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA Finance (if budget allows)

 Experience: 2–5 years in a similar role, preferably in startups, event/decor, or

retail/production businesses

 Salary Range (if needed): ₹45K–₹60K per month (depends on role depth, location,

• and qualification)
