Job Description

Position Overview

The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing the company’s receivables process, ensuring timely collection of payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall cash flow management. This role plays a key part in safeguarding company revenue and maintaining healthy customer relationships through efficient billing and collections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable Management:
    • Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in accordance with contracts and company policies.
    • Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure timely collection of dues.
    • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Collections & Follow-up:
    • Follow up on overdue payments through calls, emails, and correspondence.
    • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding billing and payment matters.
    • Escalate critical overdue accounts to management with appropriate recommendations.
  • Accounting & Reporting:
    • Record receipts and ensure proper allocation in the accounting system (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle, QuickBooks).
    • Prepare AR aging reports and analysis for management review.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to AR.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and correspondences.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary AR documentation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to resolve billing issues.
    • Support Finance Manager in cash flow forecasting and planning.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) / Collection efficiency.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of invoicing.
  • Reduction in overdue receivables.
  • Quality and accuracy of AR reports and reconciliations.
