Location: Mumbai

Salary: ₹35,000 per month

We are a leading Life-Skill Education Provider working with schools across Mumbai to empower students with Social-Emotional Learning, Mental Well-Being, Child Safety, and Resilience programs. Our work impacts thousands of students, parents, and teachers every year. We are seeking a Finance & Admin Manager who can ensure strong financial governance, smooth operations, and compliance across all our partner schools and internal teams.

 

Role Overview

This role requires a finance professional who understands the unique operational needs of the education and training ecosystem — multi-school coordination, fee cycles, vendor & facilitator management, audit-readiness, and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will independently handle day-to-day financial operations, statutory compliance, bank coordination, business planning, and administrative support for a growing life-skill education organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Financial Management & Reporting

- Prepare monthly financial statements, cash-flow reports, P&L summaries, and reconciliation statements.

- Maintain accurate accounting entries for all school program revenues, trainer payouts, reimbursements, and company expenses.

- Track project-wise budgets, revenue cycles, and timely collections from schools/clients.

- Prepare and monitor monthly Cash-Flow Forecasts and highlight risks proactively.

 

2. Audit & Compliance

- Coordinate with Statutory Auditors and ensure timely completion of audit cycles.

- Prepare all audit schedules, supporting documents, invoices, bank statements, and program-wise revenue records.

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PT, PF, ESIC and maintain all required registers and filings in coordination with external consultants.

 

3. Bank Liaison & Treasury

- Coordinate with Banks for account operations, KYC, cheque deposits, payments, NEFT/RTGS, and confirmations.

- Handle treasury tasks — fund allocation for different school programs, trainer reimbursements, and petty cash management.

- Maintain proper documentation for grants, advances, and third-party payments.

 

4. Business Planning & Financial Strategy

- Assist senior leadership in preparing Financial Business Plans for new school programs, partnerships, and expansions.

- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for operational decisions.

- Analyse monthly variances and share insights to improve efficiency and cost control.

- Support proposal costing for new school tie-ups and B2B contracts.

 

5. Administration & Operations

- Manage vendor contracts, trainer documentation, office administration, facility support and AMC renewals.

- Coordinate with the HR team for payroll processing, attendance verification, trainer payouts and travel claims.

- Maintain clean documentation and digital filing systems for all program and financial records.

- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and provide administrative support for school-related events or trainings.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance (CA Inter / MBA Finance preferred).

- Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Education Sector (schools, life-skill providers, coaching institutes, NGOs in education).

- Experience handling multi-school or multi-program accounts.

- Strong command over Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks / SAP / any ERP.

- Excellent MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, cash-flow modelling).

- Strong liaison skills with auditors, banks, vendors, and management teams.

- Understanding of education sector payment cycles, training operations, and financial compliance.

- High integrity, accuracy, documentation skills, and discretion.
