Perceptyne | Senior Manager– Finance, Compliance & Strategy

Location: Hyderabad, India

Role Overview

This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Compliance, and Strategy, working closely with the Founders to ensure that financial systems, governance frameworks, and business plans are tightly aligned with Perceptyne’s growth trajectory. 

You will be the single point of contact for all financial planning, investor communications, board matters, and compliance coordination — driving strategic finance initiatives that enable data-driven decision-making and investor confidence. 

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Finance & Business Planning

  • Own and drive the financial model, including scenario planning, forecasting, and cash flow management. 
  • Collaborate with Founders to build and maintain the business plan and strategic roadmap, aligning financial goals with operational and R&D milestones. 
  • Conduct budget vs. actual analysis, track burn rate, and forecast runway for proactive fund planning. 
  • Develop and maintain unit economics and cost structures across functions (R&D, manufacturing, operations). 
  • Partner with business and functional heads to align financial planning with strategic priorities. 

2. Investor & Board Relations

  • Act as the single point of contact for all board-related matters — preparing board decks, minutes, and performance updates. 
  • Prepare and circulate investor reports, quarterly updates, and funding milestone trackers. 
  • Coordinate investor communication on financial and strategic updates, including data room maintenance and due diligence readiness. 
  • Support funding rounds with data preparation, financial models, and compliance documentation. 

3. Finance & Compliance Oversight

  • Oversee coordination with external finance and accounting partners for statutory filings and audits (GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, income tax, etc.). 
  • Ensure ROC/MCA compliance, secretarial filings, and board documentation in collaboration with the Company Secretary. 
  • Manage cap table, share allotments, and ESOP documentation. 
  • Maintain a central compliance calendar and risk tracker across functions. 

4. Governance, Risk & Controls

  • Drive internal governance processes including quarterly compliance audits and management updates. 
  • Implement and monitor internal controls and policies to ensure financial and operational discipline. 
  • Support the Founders in strategic initiatives, partnerships, and investor negotiations from a financial governance standpoint.

5. Metrics & Performance Management

  • Set up financial and operational metrics to track company milestones and drive accountability. 
  • Lead monthly financial and operational reviews with the extended finance and business teams. 
  • Build dashboards and reporting systems (MIS) for visibility into key KPIs across departments. 
  • Support the Founders in defining North Star metrics and measuring progress against them. 


Qualifications & Skills

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Business Administration (CA / CMA / MBA preferred). 

Experience: 

  • 5–8 years of experience in finance strategy, FP&A, or compliance within a startup or high-growth company. 
  • Experience in financial modelling, forecasting, investor reporting, and board governance. 
  • Exposure to both strategic and operational finance (budgeting, cash flow, compliance, and analysis). 

Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills. 
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, and familiarity with MIS/reporting tools. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage high-stakes situations with confidentiality and precision.
