YOUR ROLE
Qualification/Experience
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical with specialization in Environmental aspects/Industrial Safety).
- Preferred at least 10 years of experience in Utilities maintenance/Safety such as HT & LT Electrical system(33KV), HVAC system (4x600Tr Chillers), Sewage treatment Plant/Water Treatment Plant, Fire Detection & Fighting System, HSD Storage systems etc.
- Preferred to have diploma in Fire & industrial safety from Govt recognized institution /National fire Service college (Nagpur)/UP Fire and emergency Services training center.
- Preferred to have diploma in industrial safety from Regional Labor Institute/NEBOSH (IGC) certified.
- Well-versed with the Environmental, Health & Safety requirements including National/International requirements.
- Experience in ISO certifications (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).
- Pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills, good in spoken and written English and Computer literate.
Job Responsibility
Facilities Engineer
- To ensure the shift operation and maintenance of Utility Equipment comprising following systems,
1-Electrical system(HT & LT)
2- Heating Ventilation & Air conditioning3-Sewage Treatment Plant4 Water treatment plant5- Uninterrupted Power supply system.6- Captive Power generators.7-Elevators8- Fire detection and fighting equipment9 Kitchen equipment etc
- To minimize break down by planning and carrying out Preventive and Corrective maintenance of Utility Equipment
- Managing the Facilities, support Tool .
- Managing Facilities assets record.
- Managing Facilities scrap disposal.
- Managing Facilities store and ensure the availability of the material required for the maintenance & day-to-day requirement.
EHS Engineer
- Manage Site certification and compliance to ISO45001 and ISO14001
- Deploy Corporate Environment and OH&S Management approach and ensure that corporate Environment and OH&S SOP and guidelines are implemented properly.
- Manage OH&S strategy and programs towards achieving the Site OH&S objectives.
- Analyze OH&S issues, propose prevention and protection measures and proper corrective actions whenever required.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of OH&S indicators and trends.
- Propose OH&S performance indicators and prepare periodical figures of achievements and trends.
- Regularly benchmark with other sites OH&S Managers.
- Ensure the identification of OH&S Training needs and manage the related programs.
- Keep abreast of the applicable OH&S requirements, developments, findings, methodologies, and tools by maintaining contacts with local authorities, specialized institutions, industry groups and consultants.
- Ensure creating effective procedures for the preparation and implementation of programs within all areas of Safety, Health & Environment & Legal compliances.
- Maintaining Statutory compliances tracking and ensuring timely renewal of Licenses.
- Conducts regular safety audits (Safety tour) of departments including the inspection of Facilities, worksites, Equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with required workplace safety standards, regulations, and EHS policy.
- Conduct Company HSE system Audit.
- Coordinate the Risk assessment of site activities in all areas (HIRA) and reduce the risk level to as low as reasonably Practicable.
- Compliance checks of Legal requirement with HSE management system.
- To educate the personnel regarding environmental requirements.
Fire Safety Officer/Emergency Preparedness
- Interface and cooperate with Emergency and First Aid Organizations (Fire stations, Hospitals etc.) to get timely support in case of emergency.
- Ensure the maintenance and servicing of all firefighting equipment including pumps, Fire extinguishers, FE227 system, Hydrant & Sprinkler system & Fire Detection system.
- Conduct Fire Evacuation Drill with the involvement of Emergency Service Provider such as Fire Station, Hospital, neighboring companies.
- Conduct Monthly Security/contractual staff hands on Fire extinguisher training.
- Conduct Employee Quarterly Hands-on Fire extinguisher/emergency preparedness training.
- Ensure up to date Site Safety warden list.
- Ensure Correct Site Evacuation Maps/Safety signages at site.
- Prepare a Safety plan for various emergencies.
- To ensure timely renewal of Fire NOC and its compliances.
Contract Management (OH&S Requirement).
- Ensure OH&S requirements in contracts of all outsourced process i.e. Canteen, Utilities, Gardening, housekeeping, security vendors, Transportation etc.
- Monitoring & Ensuring Vendor strictly comply to ST safety requirements which have been mentioned in vendor service contracts (e.g. KPIs, carrying out Hazard identification and Risk Assessment of all activities, ensuring all PPEs in sound working condition, ensuring up to date MSDS, Ensuring LOTO system is strictly complied, Work Permit system is strictly followed, Safety Signages are in place).
- Safety review / assessment / audit of vendor activities.
- Ensure that vendor is complying to all OH&S legal requirements (All relevant Licenses are in place)
- Ensure Contractual staff safety awareness, safety evaluation and training are in place.
- Preparation of safety guidelines of different activities for workers and supervisors.
- To educate the contractual staff of the environmental requirements.
Accident/Incident Management
- Conduct Accident investigation, Data recording, reporting to Local and corporate management.
- Establish Accident reports, Corrective action, 8D, and insert the report in online safe track system.
- Establish Accident reduction program and ensure implementation.
- Coordinate and liaison with Govt agencies for proper closure of Accident/Incident investigations.
Working on Environment Management System.
- Assessing, analyzing, and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to Company stakeholders & regulatory bodies.
- Keeping up to date with relevant changes in environmental legislation and initiatives including international legislation wherever applicable.
- Liaising with regulatory bodies such as the Pollution control board (PCB), and Environment/regulatory Agencies.
- Ensure proper operation of STP.
- Ensure air pollution control facilities are well maintained.
- Ensure compliance to all Waste storage/disposal activities (Hazardous waste, E-waste etc).
Ensure timely reporting of compliances to regulatory bodies of various licenses/ approval being held by ST.
