Job Description

We are currently hiring for our client - Business Transformation advisor to global enterprise leaders that provides strategic advisory ,from Strategy and planning to Execution and Management , in IT and business process services (BPS) .


Job Overview

This is an opportunity to be a part of the firm’s Outsourcing Advisory capabilities .The profile of work that currently happens in the India Office includes:


Cost and Run Optimization: Strategy and Execution

  1. Comprehensive sourcing and shoring strategy (retained or outsourced) to support IT/BPS transformation and/or cost optimization covering assessment of current IT/BPS operations, defining future state operating model, developing business case to do a cost-benefit analysis, and the execution roadmap.
  2. Sourcing RFP development and rollout, service provider commercial negotiations, SOW commercial exhibits creation, and client management in the sourcing journey .Analysis and client syndication of service provider bids in the pre-BAFO and BAFO rounds
  3. Assist enterprise clients with provider site visits on ongoing outsourcing transactions


Global Capability Center Advisory

  1. Work with our external GCC advisory alliances (to execute and run client operations) in India to further the growth of the GCC advisory capability


Fairness Opinion Services and Benchmarking Advisory

  1. IT and BPO portfolio Benchmarking and Health Checks to identify areas of improvement in clients’ existing retained and outsourced operations, service provider portfolios, spending, etc.


Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  1. Lead the ongoing engagements with enterprise clients, understand client pain points, and deliver final output promptly. This typically entails assisting in developing a business case, identifying areas of improvement in the client’s environment and services portfolio, developing best-in-class targets or benchmarks for various parameters, crafting specific sections of RFPs that are rolled out to potential service providers, assessing the competitiveness of service provider proposals, setting negotiation targets, assisting in negotiations with service providers, etc.
  2. Understand the providers’ solution and delivery capabilities, automation frameworks, cost structures, pricing buildups, etc., and compare them with custom-developed benchmarks. Maintain on an ongoing basis the IT benchmarking databases of IP (metrics related to pricing, performance, delivery, T&Cs, etc.) with oversight/support from the practice leaders .
  3. Leverage the benchmarking database and experience to actively deliver on client projects along with the practice leaders; grow quickly to provide independent delivery and client management leverage to the leaders, as needed.
  4. Lead business development and overall responsibilities of all activities including RFP response development, drafting SoW, sourcing and shoring models, and developing business cases for clients.
  5. Collaborate with the practice leaders and Marketing on ideas to synthesize/package practice capabilities, IP, and engagement takeaways into marketable content.
  6. Analysis, financial modeling, synthesizing observations/recommendations, benchmarking, and reporting on active client engagements.
  7. Support the leaders in practice P&L responsibilities such as business development,marketing, straddling multiple benchmarking engagements, revenue, and profitability discussions with leadership, etc.


Practice Development:

  1. Lead the packaging of advisory content from the firm’s engagements, advisor connects, and COE engagements for internal and external publishing and marketing.
  2. Work closely with the leaders in practice-building initiatives including, benchmarking database set-up/management, active client delivery, and sales & marketing support.
  3. Build and growth of existing/new products.
  4. Collaborate with the practice leaders and Marketing on ideas to synthesize/package practice capabilities, IP, and engagement takeaways into marketable content.
  5. Longer-term objectives include facilitating the growth and evolution of the practice as
  6. mandated by the business. Indicative areas could be helping in the hiring and management of a team of Consultants and Senior Consultants with specific areas of focus; establishing a presence in the domestic market etc.
  7. Mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants in the team and oversee their efforts.


Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with expertise in Solutioning and pricing knowhow in

outsourcing transformation mandates (especially on the IT Infrastructure side, with experience in Cloud, SaaS models, Automation, and/or BPO F&A) based on solution architecture roles in service providers OR sourcing advisory experience within management consulting firms

  • Prior experience in, and ability to comprehend, trends in outsourcing, shared services, and digital transformation.
  • Strong ownership and leadership traits
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Client presence and relationship orientation
  • Bachelor’s in engineering / Tech; MBA preferred
