Description
Key Responsibilities Design, develop and test electrical systems and components for commercial, industrial or residential use. Prepare technical drawings, specifications and documentation for electrical systems. Perform site inspections, troubleshoot malfunctions and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Manage electrical projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, procurement and coordination with vendors/contractors. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards and regulations (e.g., IS, IEC, NEC). Conduct risk assessments and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed. Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams for integrated system design. Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the organization. Provide technical support during installation, testing and commissioning stages. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging electrical engineering technologies and practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2-5 years of proven experience in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, PLCs, switchgear, transformers and protection systems. Strong understanding of electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, etc.). Familiarity with safety protocols and statutory compliance. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications. Attention to detail and accuracy in execution. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications M.E./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Experience in renewable energy, smart grid or automation systems. Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer, LEED, PMP, etc.).
