Brand Manager – eCommerce Marketplaces

About the Role:

Brand Manager


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Growth & Marketplace Management

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue and market share on Amazon, Flipkart, and other platforms.
  • Continuously monitor sales performance, customer feedback, and competitor activity to optimize product listings, pricing, and positioning.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure seamless inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer experience.


2. Campaign & Promotion Management

  • Plan, launch, and optimize advertising campaigns, including Amazon Sponsored Ads and Flipkart Ads.
  • Execute promotional initiatives like Lightning Deals, Coupons, and Festival Sales to maximize traffic and conversions.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and ROI, using insights to drive future performance.


3. Brand Building & Content Optimization

  • Oversee the development of A+ Content, Enhanced Brand Content (EBC), and compelling product descriptions.
  • Ensure visual assets—including images, infographics, and videos—meet platform standards and reflect the brand’s value proposition.
  • Craft and implement strategies to improve brand visibility, recall, and customer trust.


4. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 7–10, including content creators, ad specialists, and marketplace executives.
  • Set clear performance goals, track progress, and provide coaching to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align eCommerce goals with broader business objectives.


5. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use analytics tools to track KPIs such as CTR, conversion rate, ACOS, and ROAS.
  • Generate weekly/monthly dashboards with actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with marketplace policies, algorithms, and trends to maintain a competitive edge.


6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with marketplace account managers to ensure preferential support and visibility.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure product readiness and timely launches.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience:

    5–8 years in eCommerce or brand management with proven success on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.
  • Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Amazon Seller Central and Flipkart Seller Hub
  • Experience with tools like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, and marketplace ad dashboards
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Leadership:

    Proven ability to manage and inspire a team of 7–10 members.
  • Analytical Acumen:

    Ability to draw insights from data and translate them into strategic actions.
  • Creative Thinking:

    Skilled in developing engaging content and promotional strategies tailored to each platform.
  • Communication:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective in cross-functional collaboration.
