Position: E-Commerce Manager Overview: The E-Commerce Manager will oversee our Shopify store, drive online sales through Meta ads, and implement automation for WhatsApp and email communications. This role combines technical know-how (front-end/back-end coding) with marketing and operational expertise to ensure a seamless shopping experience and scalable growth. Key Responsibilities: Shopify Store Management Build, customize, and maintain the Shopify site: theme edits (Liquid/CSS), app integrations, and page layouts. List new products: upload descriptions, high-quality images, pricing, variants, and SEO metadata. Monitor inventory levels, set up collections, and implement merchandising best practices (cross-sells, upsells). Meta Ads & Digital Marketing Develop, launch, and optimize Facebook/Instagram ad campaigns (audience targeting, creatives, A/B tests). Track ROAS, CPL, and other KPIs; adjust budgets, bids, and creatives to maximize ROI. Collaborate with design/creative teams to produce ad visuals and copy that align with brand guidelines. Technical Development & Troubleshooting Write or modify basic front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (Liquid, Shopify APIs, or Node.js/PHP) code for custom features. Integrate third-party tools (payment gateways, analytics scripts, plugins) and resolve technical issues (checkout errors, site speed). Coordinate with external developers or agencies for larger code-level tasks or migrations. Automation & Customer Communication Set up and manage WhatsApp automation flows: welcome messages, order updates, abandoned-cart reminders. Configure email marketing automations (via Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar): welcome series, post-purchase follow-ups, and re-engagement campaigns. Monitor open rates, CTRs, and reply rates; iterate on messaging and timing to improve conversion. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Generate weekly/monthly reports on website traffic (Google Analytics), conversion rates, average order value, and ad performance. Identify bottlenecks in the customer journey (e.g., drop-off in checkout) and recommend UX improvements. Conduct quarterly site audits (SEO, page speed, mobile responsiveness) and implement corrective actions. Customer Experience & Operations Collaborate with customer support to address site-related issues: tracking errors, payment failures, or product display glitches. Ensure product pages are up to date with accurate inventory, pricing, and promotional details. Work with fulfillment/warehouse teams to synchronize stock feeds, automate order routing, and optimize packaging options. Qualifications & Skills: E-Commerce Platform Expertise: 2+ years managing Shopify stores (theme customization, app integrations, leak-proof product listings). Digital Advertising Proficiency: Hands-on experience running and optimizing Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad campaigns; strong grasp of ad manager and pixel setup. Technical & Coding Skills: Solid understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Familiarity with Shopify’s Liquid templating language and basic back-end scripting (Node.js, PHP, or similar). Comfortable troubleshooting site errors, installing plugins, and modifying API integrations. Automation & CRM Tools: Experience with WhatsApp Business API or tools like Twilio/MessageBird for messaging flows. Proficient in email automation platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar) for setting up flows and segmenting audiences. Analytical & Reporting Skills: Ability to interpret Google Analytics, Shopify reports, and ad dashboards; derive actionable insights. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for data manipulation and custom reporting. Soft Skills & Organization: Detail-oriented: ensures product listings, pricing, and promotions are error-free. Excellent project management: juggle website updates, ad launches, and automation rollouts while meeting deadlines. Clear communicator: liaise between marketing, design, customer support, and external developers effectively. Preferred (Not Required): Certification in Shopify development or Facebook Blueprint. Experience with other platforms (WooCommerce, Magento) or advanced analytics tools (Looker Studio, Power BI). Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) for quick banner or ad creative tweaks.
