Own APAC standardization for semantic models, unified data definitions, Power BI solutions and tooling, data catalog/lineage, and the operationalization of GenAI use cases in a compliant way across markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and scale a regional team of Data Solutions Analysts (direct and matrix reports): hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, and succession planning.
- Define, design and steward unified data models and semantic layers for General Insurance domains (claims, underwriting, actuarial, product, distribution/sales, finance) aligned to global standards (US/UK).
- Design and deliver enterprise semantic solutions for analytics consumption (Power BI shared/certified datasets, semantic layers) to enable governed self-service and reusable data products.
- Operate and advance Power BI tooling and platform best practices: Desktop/Service, Premium/Capacity, XMLA endpoints, Deployment Pipelines/ALM, dataset optimization, performance tuning, and workspace governance.
- Collaborate with data engineers, ETL/ELT teams (Informatica) and cloud platform owners (Snowflake/AWS Redshift) to ensure scalable, performant, auditable pipelines and models.
- Lead APAC GenAI strategy and delivery for insurance analytics: evaluate toolsets, design RAG/embedding approaches, prototype LLM integrations (e.g., underwriting assistance, claims triage, report generation), define prompt engineering and responsible AI controls, and operationalize privacy/compliance measures.
- Implement and operate enterprise data catalog and lineage capabilities (e.g., Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica EDC): integrate metadata and lineage into datasets, semantic models and dashboards for discoverability and auditability.
- Embed metadata, lineage, data quality, security and compliance controls; partner with global Data Governance, legal and local compliance teams to operationalize policies across APAC.
