Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented C++ Developer to join our L2 Support team focused on critical healthcare applications within the Medicare and claims management domain. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing technical support and resolving complex issues for our systems built using C++ and Oracle PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will possess strong C++ development skills, in-depth hands-on knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle within a support context. A working functional knowledge of Medicare processes and claims management systems is highly desirable. This position requires the flexibility to work in shifts and participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure the continuous availability of our vital healthcare systems. Responsibilities: • Provide L2 technical support for production applications developed in C++ and Oracle PL/SQL within the Medicare and claims management domain. • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues reported by L1 support or end-users, often related to claims processing, eligibility, and Medicare regulations. • Investigate and debug C++ code and PL/SQL scripts to identify root causes of incidents, considering the specific logic related to healthcare transactions. • Develop and implement fixes, patches, and workarounds to resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare standards. • Write and execute complex SQL and PL/SQL queries to analyze healthcare data and troubleshoot problems within the claims processing and Medicare context and provide data-fix on demand for the test and production environments. • Collaborate with various development teams, DevOps team and other ancillary teams to escalate and resolve issues requiring code changes or architectural adjustments, providing insights based on your understanding of the healthcare domain. • Most importantly, Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and knowledge base articles, incorporating specific details related to Medicare and claims management processes. • Participate in shift rotations to provide support coverage across different time zones, ensuring timely resolution of healthcare-related issues. • Participate in an on-call support rotation to address critical incidents outside of regular business hours, understanding the urgency often associated with healthcare systems. • Monitor system performance, specifically focusing on aspects relevant to claims processing and Medicare compliance, and identify potential issues proactively. • Utilize JavaScript for front-end troubleshooting or minor enhancements related to support tools used within the healthcare context. • Analyze and understand Batch scripts involved in healthcare data processing and system automation. • Utilize Control-M to understand job scheduling and dependencies relevant to claims processing and other healthcare workflows. • Adhere to incident management and change management processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations where applicable. Required Skills and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience as1 a C++ Developer with a strong understanding2 of C++ concepts and debugging techniques. • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle database development, including writing, debugging, and optimizing PL/SQL code (stored procedures, functions, triggers, etc.). • Solid understanding of relational database concepts and SQL. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to issue resolution, particularly within complex healthcare systems. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including those with a healthcare background. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure, especially when dealing with critical healthcare incidents. • Flexibility to work in rotational shifts and participate in an on-call support schedule. • Experience with incident management tools and processes. Desirable Skills: • Functional knowledge of Medicare processes and the claims management system domain. • Familiarity with JavaScript and basic front-end debugging. • Experience in analyzing and understanding Batch scripting (Windows or Linux). • Knowledge of job scheduling and monitoring tools like Control-M. • Experience with log analysis tools and techniques. • Understanding of healthcare data formats and standards (e.g., HIPAA, EDI). • ITIL certification or understanding of ITIL framework.
