Deputy Manager - SAS Engineer

Responsibilities

• To develop and integrate SCADA, PLC, RTU, SAS and RONC (Central control and command center) fo all renewable Power Plants.
• The SCADA Engineer is to assist the O&M SCADA Manager and complete O&M team with fulfilling the needs of our Business requirements by providing timely, precise, appropriate and thorough service.
• Working of Substation Automation System -SAS and corresponding know how on integrating IEDs, Devices, Network elements like switches, RTUs, Routers etc.
• Working on Cyber security aspects, Configuration of fire walls.
• To provide prompt resolution and high-quality technical support for the SAS and communication systems of AGEL installations of Solar, Wind, Substation etc. in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Support Substation Automation and Communications, lead, and mentor the SAS & communication team, ensuring end-to-end responsibility for value engineering, Factory Acceptance Testing, and commissioning of substation automation (SCADA) systems, FOTE & PLCC systems.
• To develop and integrate SCADA, PLC, RTU, SAS and RONC (Central control and command center) for all renewable Power Plants.
• . Coordination with other department ENOC, other stake holders, for related matters
• Train team at HO and site for skill enhancement, managerial aspects.
• Help in design panel layouts and wiring diagrams, Should be able to develop and document SCADA and PLC programs
• Design, monitor and integrate wired and wireless Ethernet and Serial data networks and other network equipment e.g. switches, firewall, routers, etc.
• Perform site surveys and analysis.
• Supervise the construction of instrumentation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, repair, report on, and recommend / perform service of SCADA, PLC, RTU, SAS etc.
• Perform and document SCADA equipment verification and calibration.
• Maintains engineering records, lists and reports as required to ensure compliance with the work schedule, adherence to the budget, adherence to design specification and to ensure engineering problems are monitored and resolved.
• Be a primary contact to assigned sites and report their needs, concerns, or requests to the O&M SCADA Manager
• Clean and organize assigned working areas and tools.
• Manage material procurement as directed.
• Optimize the available inventory and procure new inventories as per need for the allocated area.
• Ensure quality assurance, safety, and environment standards by way of well-defined review mechanism.
• Technically through on operation & maintenance of Solar Plant.
• Able to travel frequently, Can Stretch with tenacity & perseverance
• Good skill on programming and configuring SCADA software packages, PLC platforms, Microsoft Operating Systems, OPC, SQL, and OLE clients and servers,
• Working experience with various protocols like Modbus RTU/ASCII, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC, IEC61850, IEC-60870-5-101/104 etc.
• Hands on working with or around electrical & SCADA equipment and systems used in power generation and power distribution operations.
• Extensive knowledge of electricity, electronics, and computers.
• Knowledge of basic electrical construction tools, materials, and techniques
• Desire to learn new skills, move up, and accept increasing responsibilities.
• To coordinate with the site O&M team regularly
• Providing SCADA expertise on solar power systems during the development, Engineering, construction and operations.
• Monitoring SCADA and ensuring reporting of Daily Generation Report of senior management.
• Performing SCADA system installation inspections systems to confirm the SCADA system has been installed per clients’ requirements.
• Commissioning of Central command center and Ensuring trouble free operation of the same
• Maintains engineering records, lists and reports as required to ensure compliance with the work schedule, adherence to the budget, adherence to design specification and to ensure engineering problems are monitored and resolved.
• Supporting the site team as & when they require
• Be consistent and dependable.
• Conduct work and interact with vendors in a professional, conscientious, and sensitive manner.
• Work safely in confined spaces, hazardous locations, and in sewage facilities
• Support to Maintain the inventory at optimum level.
• Support to Ensure zero mal-operation and human error.
• Supporting for Implementation of BPTs like IMS / DISHA / Statutory AUDIT/ LAM-SAP etc.
• Supporting for Bench marking of the O&M, RCA, FMEA and testing practices.
• Respond to emergency contingencies and disaster management.
