Job Title : Business Development - Deputy Manager

Job Summary:

As Deputy Manager – Business Development, you will be responsible for building and scaling the business development function from the ground up. This is a leadership role that requires a strong mix of strategic thinking, on-ground execution, and team leadership. You will play a key role in expanding the company’s market presence, driving sustainable revenue growth, and establishing scalable sales processes.


Key Responsibilities:

● Conduct in-depth market research to identify high-potential client segments and convert them into long-term business opportunities

● Build and execute business development strategies from scratch, aligned with overall growth and revenue objectives

● Identify and pursue leads through multiple channels including walk-ins, cold calling, referrals, partnerships, and digital initiatives

● Own and drive the end-to-end sales cycle including discovery, product demonstrations, proposal creation, negotiations, and closures

● Build, manage, and retain strong relationships with existing clients while driving repeat and referral business

● Lead high-value client meetings and deliver impactful presentations and product demonstrations to senior stakeholders

● Write business proposals and negotiate commercials, contracts, and terms to secure profitable and sustainable deals

● Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline month-on-month with accurate tracking of sales, revenue, invoices, and forecasts

● Develop growth strategies focused on both financial performance and long-term customer satisfaction

● Lead, hire, mentor a team of business development professionals

● Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and conduct regular training and review sessions for the team


Requirements:

● 3–6 years of experience, preferably in SaaS / B2B technology sales

● Demonstrated experience in building a business, market, or revenue stream from scratch and scaling it successfully

● Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Business Management or a related field

● Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

● Proven ability to negotiate and close complex deals

● Strong ownership mindset with the ability to self-motivate in a target-driven environment

● Experience in designing and implementing business development strategies and sales processes

● Flexibility to travel as required; open to working on-field approximately 90% of the time
