Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Deputy Manager – Planning
to support and manage the planning and scheduling functions of large-scale construction projects—preferably residential multistoried apartment complexes or integrated townships. The ideal candidate will play a key role in project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and performance tracking to ensure projects are executed efficiently, within scope, time, and cost parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, contracts, execution, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Conduct micro-level planning to optimize workflows, resource allocation, and productivity.
- Track and monitor project progress, identify variances, and propose corrective actions to meet project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain budget forecasts, track expenditures, and ensure effective financial control mechanisms.
- Analyze project performance data to identify risks and opportunities, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Support the preparation of progress reports, dashboards, and performance analyses for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with site teams, consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
- Promote project management best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support, mentor, and guide junior planning engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve planning excellence.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) – mandatory.
- NICMAR certification or equivalent specialization in Project Management/Planning – preferred.
Experience
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in project planning and control functions for large-scale construction projects, ideally in residential multistoried developments or township projects.
- Demonstrated experience in micro-planning, budgeting, scheduling, and interdepartmental coordination.

- Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel-based tracking tools).
- Strong analytical and numerical ability for data-driven planning and forecasting.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, resource management, and cost control principles.
- Ability to identify and resolve planning bottlenecks proactively.
