The Role

Key duties include data collection and entry, database management, report generation and analysis, data visualization, and training staff on MIS tools. The role requires strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and database management, along with analytical and problem-solving abilities to provide actionable insights for operational efficiency and strategic planning.

Key Accountabilities

What you’ll be doing:

• Data Management:

Oversee the collection, entry, and maintenance of data, ensuring its accuracy and integrity within the MIS portal or database.

• System Maintenance:

Manage and update MIS software and databases, and help develop new systems or dashboards to streamline processes.

• Reporting & Analysis:

Generate regular and ad-hoc reports, analyze data trends, and create visualizations to provide actionable insights to management for decision-making.

• Data Quality Assurance:

Develop systems and norms for data collection and ensure compliance with data standards and regulatory requirements.

• User Support & Training:

Train project staff and other stakeholders on how to use MIS tools and data management systems.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work with various departments to understand their data needs and optimize data processes to enhance operational efficiency.

• Problem-Solving:

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve problems to ensure smooth operation of the MIS.

Essential Skills & Competencies

• Technical Skills:

Strong computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel, and good knowledge of database management systems.

• Analytical Skills:

An analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data to identify trends and provide insights.

• Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively train staff and collaborate with different teams.

• Attention to Detail:

Critical for maintaining data accuracy and integrity.

• Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and resolve issues related to the MIS and data systems.

• Teamwork:

Experience working effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team environment.
