The Role: Data Scientist

The team drives new product innovation in the Maritime and Trade domain, leveraging cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to build scalable, intelligent solutions. Beyond product development, the team also leads the execution of complex, high-impact client projects, often operating across functional and geographical boundaries. The Impact:
This role plays a critical part in driving innovation by continuously ideating and developing novel solutions aligned with business needs and emerging market trends. It requires a strong team player who can navigate ambiguity, communicate transparently, and contribute meaningfully to both established and nascent projects. By transforming vague problem statements and raw data into actionable insights or new product features, this position directly contributes to business growth and client success—helping us deliver differentiated value in the competitive Maritime and Trade analytics space.

Responsibilities:
Support cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
Apply knowledge of various machine learning techniques and best practices in data science to improve exiting analytics products or develop new products
Work with project manager to deliver outstanding products that exceed customer expectations
Gather knowledge about the maritime industry and its interrelationship with various economic and policy decision
What We’re Looking For:
Master’s or higher degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics) or Data science certification from premier institute.
0-3 years of progressive professional experience in Advanced Analytics / Data Science
Good understanding of fundamental concepts in statistics, Time Series Forecasting, Predictive modeling and Machine learning.
Good Knowledge of Python Programming and handing of large Database on the Cloud Platform
Understanding of data visualization principles and experience with data visualization tools
Good communication skill
Excellent Logical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to confidently present your own ideas and solutions, as well as guide technical discussions
Welcoming and approachable attitude and ability to connect with people and build strong professional relationship
