Job Title: Data Scientist

Position Overview

In an international school setting, the Data Scientist plays a pivotal role in maintaining data integrity, supporting the generation and validation of various data types, and assisting the leadership team in leveraging data for informed decision-making. This role is central to driving evidence-based improvements in academic performance, operational efficiency, and institutional strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Correctness:

Ensure the school’s data is accurate, consistent, and reliable through robust data cleaning, normalization, and validation processes. Identify and correct any data discrepancies or anomalies.

• Data Generation and Validation:

Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to define required datasets, design data collection tools, and validate collected data for quality and relevance.

• Data Mapping:

Develop comprehensive data flow maps to track how information is generated, processed, and utilized across departments. Identify key data sources, systems, and stakeholders to enhance organizational data transparency.

• AI/ML Algorithm Development:

Utilize advanced analytics and machine learning models to derive insights and predictions. Support projects such as student performance analysis, enrollment forecasting, and resource optimization.

• Dashboard Development and Analytics Visualization:

Design and maintain interactive dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, providing real-time insights into institutional KPIs and performance trends to aid leadership in data-driven decision-making.

• Data Privacy and Security:

Implement stringent policies to protect confidential information and maintain compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, COPPA, etc.). Ensure encryption, access control, and anonymization protocols are in place.

• Ethical Use of Data:

Uphold ethical standards in collecting, analyzing, and sharing data. Safeguard individual privacy and restrict data use or dissemination without proper authorization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in applied data analysis, AI/ML model development, and educational data management.
• Proficiency in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) and programming languages such as Python or R.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and international data privacy best practices (experience in European or other global contexts is an advantage).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Additional Advantage

Candidates with practical understanding of GDPR guidelines and international data compliance frameworks will be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹100,000.00 per month
