About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise data solutions. The candidate will act as the technical lead across Proof of Concepts (POCs) and client projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives.

The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in data modeling, pipeline architecture, technology mapping, and BI/reporting frameworks as well as be equally comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders, translating business needs into robust, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Design

· Design and implement end-to-end data architectures spanning ingestion, storage, modeling, transformation, and consumption layers.

· Develop and maintain logical, physical, and conceptual data models that support business and analytical needs.

· Define data integration strategies, including ETL/ELT design, orchestration, and automation frameworks.

· Ensure alignment of architecture with enterprise standards, scalability goals, and data governance principles.

Technical Leadership

· Act as technical lead across all data POCs and proejct initiatives, ensuring quality, feasibility, and scalability of solutions.

· Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern data technologies (e.g., data lakehouse, cloud-native services, real-time streaming).

· Provide technical guidance to data engineers, analysts, and BI developers.

· Define best practices for coding, version control, deployment, and monitoring in data projects.

Data Pipelines & Integration

· Design, develop, and optimize data ingestion and transformation pipelines using on-premise and/or cloud-native tools.

· Collaborate with Data Engineers to implement robust and reusable ETL/ELT processes.

· Ensure data quality, lineage, and metadata management across the architecture.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

· Collaborate with BI and business teams to design dashboards, data marts, and semantic models.

· Oversee the mapping of business KPIs and metrics to data sources and ensure accuracy in BI reports.

· Provide architectural guidance for BI tool selection, performance optimization, and visualization standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

· Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Governance teams to ensure architectural coherence.

· Partner with enterprise architects and infrastructure teams to align data strategy with overall IT roadmap.

· Present technical solutions and architecture decisions to senior management and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

· 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, BI solution design.

· Proven experience designing data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical ecosystems.

· Strong proficiency in data modeling and metadata management.

· Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, dbt, etc.) and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Prefect).

· Expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark

· Strong experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS (Redshift, Glue, S3, Athena), Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow).

· Good understanding of data governance, security, lineage, and compliance frameworks.

· Good understanding of BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik).

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience leading data platform migrations or modernization projects.

· Exposure to real-time data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).

· Familiarity with ML/AI data pipelines or DataOps practices.

· Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP Data Architect/Engineer) are highly desirable.
