Job Purpose
As the air traffic is increasing rapidly year after year, the traffic congestion in and around the Airport is also increasing, which requires advance planning to resolve them. Besides, with the increase of traffic, the nature of threats becoming more sophisticated by the day, the pressure on aviation security is also increasing tremendously. With the increased pressure on security establishment, Aviation security is now increasingly relying on new technology adoption such as ATRS, Remote Cabin Baggage and Centralized registered baggage concept to ensure a seamless security process. Further, in line with global trends, the government has embarked on a major implementation of biometric technology and connected airports across the country through digi yatra initiatives and also implementation of Body Scanners, Drone detection system, Advanced Imaging Technology, Explosive Trace Detection, Suspect Detection Systems and behavioral analysis etc. This not only enhance security of airport but also helps to reduce the workload of individual security staff.In order to implement all these initiatives in better way, this role is essentially required to collect the data of best practices being followed at other airports in across the world and analyze, interpret and present the data with pros and cons of the solution so that a clear decision can be taken without wasting much amount of time.

Data Analysis and Reporting - Identify trends and patterns in security screening data (e.g., wait times, prohibited item detection rates etc.)
- Develop clear and concise reports and presentations that communicate data analysis findings

This may involve analyzing passenger dwell times at security checkpoints based on DigiYatra usage. Reduction in passenger processing time at security checkpoints through DigiYatra integration. Baggage Analysis for Improved Security Screening - Analyze data from baggage screening equipment (X-ray scanners, explosive detection systems) to identify trends and patterns in suspicious items flagged for further inspection.Improvement in the detection rate of prohibited or suspicious items in baggage based on data analysisAnalysing Baggage per Passenger Trend - Trends in the number of bags carried out by passengersThis will be calculated over a chosen timeframe.Self-Service Baggage Drop Analysis (SSBD) - Identify trends and patterns that affect SSBD efficiency and passenger experience.
