The CTO will lead the end-to-end technology strategy for the restaurant chain, ensuring seamless integration of POS systems, CRM & loyalty platforms, cloud kitchen automation, data analytics, and digital ordering channels. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency, customer engagement, and scalable growth across dine-in, delivery, and cloud kitchen formats.
1. Technology Strategy & Leadership
• Define and execute the overall technology roadmap aligned with business expansion plans.
• Lead and manage the internal technology and data teams.
• Evaluate, implement, and scale restaurant-tech platforms across locations.
2. CRM & Loyalty (Product & Marketing)
• Oversee CRM systems for customer data, loyalty programs, campaigns, and retention strategies.
• Enable personalized marketing, offers, and customer engagement using CRM insights.
• Integrate CRM with POS, online ordering platforms, and mobile applications.
3. POS & Systems Integration
• Own POS system selection, deployment, and optimization across all outlets.
• Manage integrations between POS, inventory, finance, HRMS, CRM, and delivery aggregators.
• Ensure data accuracy, uptime, and real-time reporting across systems.
4. Cloud Kitchen & Automation
• Lead cloud kitchen automation covering order flow, kitchen display systems (KDS), inventory, and dispatch.
• Optimize aggregator order management (Swiggy, Zomato, etc.) through automation tools.
• Ensure scalability and process standardization across cloud and dine-in kitchens.
5. Data & Analytics
• Build and lead a data team responsible for reporting, dashboards, and insights.
• Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, food costs, and operational performance.
• Enable data-driven decision-making for leadership and operations teams.
6. Menu Management (Online & Offline)
• Manage centralized menu control for both online and offline platforms.
• Ensure real-time menu updates across POS, aggregators, websites, and apps.
• Coordinate pricing, availability, and promotional menu changes seamlessly.
7. Security, Compliance & Reliability
• Ensure data security, system backups, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage vendor contracts, SLAs, and technology budgets.
• Ensure minimal downtime and quick issue resolution across outlets.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in technology leadership, preferably in restaurants, QSR, hospitality, or retail.
• Strong understanding of POS systems, CRM & loyalty platforms, cloud kitchen tech, and integrations.
• Experience with delivery aggregators, menu management systems, and automation tools.
• Proven ability to lead data and tech teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience scaling a multi-brand or multi-location restaurant chain.
• Exposure to product development, mobile apps, or in-house tech platforms.
• Strong understanding of marketing tech (MarTech) and customer analytics.
