Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Analyst to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and risk assessment, with at least 5 years of experience in credit evaluation. This role demands excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and sound judgment to assess creditworthiness and support lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial statements, credit data, and market trends to assess risk
• Evaluate creditworthiness of individuals or companies applying for loans or credit lines
• Prepare detailed credit reports and present recommendations to senior management
• Monitor existing client accounts for credit performance and early risk indicators
• Collaborate with sales, risk, and underwriting teams to ensure prudent lending practices
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist in developing and refining credit models and risk scoring systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk, and lending procedures
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools, Excel, and credit software
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA/CFA preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in corporate or commercial credit analysis
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (RBI norms, Basel guidelines, etc.)
• Experience with credit rating agencies or NBFCs/banks is a plus
