Role Summary:

This role will predominantly focus on media relations and proactive PR initiatives for IndiGrid as well as its investee company EnerGrid, while also supporting broader corporate communication requirements as needed. The candidate will help strengthen the company’s presence across earned media, develop compelling narratives around sector trends, and support reputation enhancement / management efforts. Additionally, the role will contribute to content development, internal communications and brand-led initiatives that reinforce IndiGrid’s and EnerGrid’s positioning as a thought leader in the infrastructure, power, and InvIT space.



What the role entails – Key accountabilities/ responsibilities

  1. Media Relations & PR

  • Support execution of media outreach and visibility initiatives.
  • Maintain and update journalist/media databases and sector-news trackers.
  • Draft press releases, media notes, authored articles, quotes, FAQs and briefing packs.
  • Coordinate media interviews, feature stories and speaker placements for leadership.
  • Track coverage and assist in preparing PR performance reports.
  1. Narrative Building & Sector Positioning

  • Identify PR-worthy developments across functions and convert them into story angles.
  • Assist in building messaging frameworks and thought-leadership content.
  • Support research into sector / policy / sustainability themes relevant for media engagement.
  1. Corporate Communications Support

  • Support development of collaterals for campaigns, industry events, award submissions and site visits.
  • Assist in internal communication initiatives (newsletters, messages, etc.).
  • Contribute to design/creative briefs and ensure brand voice consistency across touchpoints.
  1. Content & Knowledge Management

  • Develop and maintain structured repositories of communication assets, data points and references.
  • Assist in drafting presentations, submissions and content packs for external engagements.
  1. Administrative Support

  • Support the communications team with scheduling, meeting coordination, and follow-up tasks.

Qualification & Experience:

Essential -

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

4-5 years of relevant experience in a communications, PR, or marketing role.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Desirable -

Exposure to PR, corporate communication, branding, or marketing-related projects.

Knowledge of media relations and press release drafting.

Experience in event coordination, internal communication campaigns, or digital content creation.

Experience with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
