Job Overview
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for Logistics, Warehousing and Distribution for all PCC products being produced, supplied, warehoused or dispatched from India as well as all Logistical import issues for PCC raw materials and products into India.The Logistics supervisor leads the inbound and outbound logistics, brokerage, customs, warehouse and distribution functions to ensure an efficient, reliable and rapid response to manufacturing requirements for materials as well as the storage and delivery of anesthetic pharmaceutical products and devices.This position requires solid knowledge of SAP, business processes, logistics, import and export laws and regulations, brokerage, customs, warehouse and distribution functions.
This will be a one year contract.
Experience
- Bachelors degree in applicable field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business or preferred); MBA or Graduate level Supply Chain degree preferred.
- Minimum ten years experience in two or more of the following areas - Planning, Logistics, and Supply Chain, preferably in a pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environment
- Five+ years SAP experience is mandatory
- Ability to resolve issues with ADc and Customs.
- Demonstrated capacity to handle imports.
- Knowledge of EOU is a must.
- Knowledge of Excise will be an added advantage
- Well-versed in progressive materials, planning and logistics that promotes change and embraces a culture of operational excellence.
- International experience highly desirable.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Exposure to cGMP principles and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Highly motivated and results-driven
- Positive person with excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
- Strong Analytical, conceptual, problem solving & decision making skills
- Experience managing multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities
- Experience with customer service is a plus
Roles & Responsibilities
- Directing all outbound and inbound shipments to/from Digwal and CMO’s.
- Developing and managing the variable and fixed logistics budgets.
- Managing distribution of all products produced in ROW
- Negotiating carrier rates, services and contracts
- Oversee, manage and negotiate transportation Contracts with service providers like transporters, Custom House Agents, Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Consultant etc.
- Identify, develop and implement distribution cost savings projects.
- Responsibility for PCC warehouse facilities throughout India.
- Oversee, manage and direct the PCC Logistics employees
- Resolve Logistics and Transportation Problems.
- Respond to customer and sales queries on shipments.
- Support any and all PCC Logistics needs to/from India.
- Insure prompt and correct delivery of customer documents.
- Insure customer shipping and Logistic needs are met.
- Insure timely shipments of all outbound customer shipments.
- Use of correct seaport /airport across India and globe.
- Monitor & reduce cycle time for delivery of products to customers.
- Oversees the generation of the weekly dispatch schedules.
- Prepare the monthly MIS to track documentation and cost.
- Track warehousing, transportation and logistics performance against key metrics.
- Implement projects to improve the performance metrics.
- Work to reduce shipping times for inbound and outbound shipping.
- Insure customer service metrics of OTIF and OTD are consistently met.
- Tracking of government benefits and regulations.
- Resolve issues with ADC, Customs and imports.
- Timely submission of post shipment documents to bank.
- Issue of correct E-Way bills.
- No loss on GST due to wrong documentation.
- Tracking payments to vendors.
- Trade services compliance check- SDN.
- Knowledge on DAVA portal.
- Dealing with external laboratory for testing
