Job Title: Commercial Officer Department: Commercial / Sales / Procurement (depending on org structure) Reports To: Commercial Manager / Head of Commercial Location: [Insert Location] Job Type: [Full-Time/Part-Time/Contract] Job Summary: The Commercial Officer plays a pivotal role in managing the commercial aspects of the business, including contract management, supplier/client negotiations, pricing strategy, procurement, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. The role supports the development and execution of strategies to optimize revenue, profitability, and market competitiveness. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and administration of commercial contracts and agreements. Support procurement processes including vendor selection, RFQs, and purchase orders. Conduct market research and analysis to inform pricing strategies and cost control. Track and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Liaise with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all commercial transactions. Analyze supplier and customer performance data to inform future commercial decisions. Support business development efforts through the preparation of bids and proposals. Ensure timely invoicing and resolve any billing discrepancies with clients or suppliers. Contribute to continuous improvement in commercial processes and systems.
