About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee and strengthen the business operations of a global digital platform. This role is critical to ensuring smooth commercial governance, legal and financial compliance, efficient vendor management, and effective budgeting within a fast-paced digital environment.


The ideal candidate will act as the commercial backbone of the organization — driving sound business decisions, managing contracts, and optimizing costs while ensuring alignment with the company’s digital-first operations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Risk Assessment & Compliance

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements, particularly for digital business operations.
  • Work with legal advisors to review and manage agreements, website policies, and digital compliance protocols.


2. Vendor & Purchase Management

  • Manage and negotiate purchase bills and ensure timely processing.
  • Evaluate vendor contracts, pricing, and performance to drive value and accountability.
  • Maintain transparent and efficient vendor management systems.


3. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage annual and departmental budgets.
  • Track and report expenditures against budgets, ensuring fiscal discipline.
  • Identify and execute cost optimization initiatives across departments.


4. Commercial Strategy & Governance

  • Support management in commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and audit readiness for all commercial processes.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and legal teams to streamline business workflows.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Law, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in commercial management, vendor management, or contracts/legal functions.
  • Strong understanding of digital business operations, contracts, and compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying risks and process improvements.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Digitally confident, comfortable using mobile apps, dashboards, and online platforms; able to quickly adapt to new tools and software.
