About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team at METRIX IT SOLUTIONS INC. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices, with proven expertise in designing and implementing complex cloud architectures. This role involves leading technical discussions, developing innovative solutions, and guiding teams and clients through the entire project lifecycle. The Cloud Solutions Architect will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of secure, cost-effective, and scalable cloud environments aligned with industry best practices and frameworks such as the AWS Well-Architected Framework. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud projects, mentor junior team members, and influence the technological direction of the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise, certifications, and professional experience, including:
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in cloud architecture, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS services, scripting, and automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure ARM.
- Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm.
- Mandatory cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
- Optional certifications in automation (RedHat Ansible, HashiCorp Terraform), CI/CD (Jenkins), and container orchestration (CKA, OpenShift certifications) are advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Leading architecture and design discussions with both technical teams and clients to develop scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.
- Implementing best practices aligned with AWS frameworks, focusing on cloud security, cost optimization, and automation.
- Managing and executing customer engagements, including new project proposals and existing environment enhancements.
- Mentoring and training team members to enhance their technical capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Collaborating with application development teams to design, implement, and automate infrastructure on cloud platforms.
- Proactively identifying and addressing gaps or delays in project timelines, coordinating with leads and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
- Handling asset development and management, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Supporting ongoing maintenance and improvement of cloud environments through automation, monitoring, and security enhancements.
- Driving continuous innovation by exploring new tools, techniques, and processes to improve stability, security, and efficiency.
- Providing expert guidance on cloud security best practices and compliance requirements to safeguard organizational data and assets.
